Chen Yun calls on Dinh Chinh Dung, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee

On the morning of September 28, Chen Yun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway, held talks with Dinh Chinh Dung, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPC) and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, and his entourage in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation in investment and construction in the field of transportation infrastructure in Vietnam and reached a broad consensus.

Mr. Chen Yun expressed his sincere welcome to Dinh Chinh Dung and his delegation to Beijing, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to all sectors of Vietnamese society for the support and assistance they have been giving to the development of China Railway in Vietnam. Mr. Chen Yun briefly introduced the overall situation of the enterprise and the development of international business, especially in Vietnam. He said that with the strong support of Hanoi City, China Railway has constructed projects such as the first urban light rail Giling-Hedong Line in Hanoi, which has been widely praised by the Vietnamese public. At present, China Railway is actively following up Vietnam"s urban rail transit, high-speed railroad and other infrastructure projects, and will further give full play to the advantages of the whole industry chain in the field of transportation infrastructure, actively participate in the investment and construction of Vietnam in various fields, and make new and greater contributions to the development of Vietnam.

Dinh Chinh Dung fully affirmed the achievements of China Railway"s business development in Vietnam and congratulated China Railway on the successful completion of the Hanoi Light Railway Giling-Hedong Line Project. He said that Hanoi City hopes to continue extensive cooperation with China Railway in various fields of construction to realize mutual benefits and win-win situation.
